January 7 - February 16, 2010 FASCHING - MUNICH'S CARNIVAL
During the carneval season are held more than 700 fancy-dress balls and classical gala balls. The Climax is on Shrove Tuesday, February 16, where the central sqare Marienplatz is turned into a party zone with music, fancy dress and dancing. The fifth season in Bavaria. Strong beer is served during lent by many breweries. One of the highlights is the "Derbleck'n" of politicians in the Paulaner beer hall at Nockherberg.
