Munich Oktoberfest September 20 - October 5, 2014
The world's biggest beer festival is attented by more than 6 million visitors drinking about 6 million liters of beer in 14 giant beer tents. Don't miss it! On the southern edge of the area a historic reconstruction of the festival in former centuries (called "Oide Wiesn") is established.   Info
 Costume- and Riflemen's Parade  Info 
   Great Costume- and Riflemen's Parade with about 180 groups and 9000 performers on September 21. Start: Max-II-Monument 10 am.
 Beer- and Oktoberfest Museum  Info 
   The interesting museum is installed in one of Munich's oldest citizen houses dating from the 14th century. Open Tuesday - Saturday.

The Partnach Gorge at Garmisch-Partenkirchen
The gorge as a natural conduit for the Partnach river runs almost 1 km between 80 meters high limestone walls. In the wintertime night-walks in the light of burning torches are organized. Train from Munich to Garmisch-Partenkirchen every hour.   Info
