Entry of the Oktoberfest Landlords and Breweries
The traditional prelude to the Oktoberfest is the entry of the landlords and breweries to the festive grounds. The parade of the horse-drawn carriages takes one hour. The Münchner Kindl on horseback and the festive couch of Munich's Mayor lead the parade.

The Oktoberfest Costume and Riflemen's Parade
The world-renowned parade takes its route through the inner city to Theresienwiese. During this two-hour parade about 9.000 participants in 120 groups dressed in traditional costumes, music and marching bands, amateur and mountain riflemen from Munich, Bavaria and throughout europe present themselves. Open-Air Concert of the Oktoberfest Bands
The bands of the festival tents (around 300 musicians) play together in front of the Bavaria statue. Munich's mayor and and various celebrities who have risen to prominence at the Wiesn conduct te brass bands. Completely free of charge! The concert is broadcast on Bavarian television.

Traditional gun salutes at the Bavaria statue
The Oktoberfest closes with loud gunshots. On the last Oktoberfest day at precisely 12 noon around 60 male and female gunners in traditional dress gather on the steps below the Bavaria statue and fire their salutes. Every shot emits white smoke - that’s because black powder is fired. The spectacle is musically accompanied by a brass band.
